Maldives Journalists Association (MJA)welcomes Maldives Police Service’s decision to retract the decision to boycott RaajjeTV. MJA believes the government institutions should provide support to all the media organizations without any discrimination. Not supporting their policies and editorial shouldn’t be considered as a reason to boycott a media organization. We also appreciate the continuous efforts made by Maldives Broadcasting Commission and Maldives Media Council to end up the decision of police to boycott RaajjeTV.

We also call on the media organizations to uphold public interest by providing authentic information and not to give the chance to point out that the news orinformation delivered is biased.
